I did some research online and I think I can do it flashing either the tomato fw or dd-wrt fw but I couldnt' find a good setup procedure.
For the WRT54GL V1.1 I use, I found this build working: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/08/12) vpn - build 18687 Just make sure to get the correct build number and the openvpn generic Firmware build. Second, I had to use these iptables rules in the DD-WRT to get the traffic correctly forwarded. iptables -I FORWARD -i br0 -o tun1 -j ACCEPT
